Club study trip to Brazil
Development momentum and outlook of Mercosur and Brazil: innovation and cooperation opportunities, bio-economy and sustainable development, urban planning, transport, infrastructure.
Theme: the development momentum and medium-term outlook of Mercosur and Brazil, and the opportunities for innovation and renewed initiative for and with Brazil, in the face of China’s omnipresence. Bio-economy and sustainable development, new urban planning, transport, energy, industry, networks and AI, considerable infrastructure needs, and Brazil’s culture of minimalist innovation.
On the program: a joint conference of the Club de Paris des Directeurs de l’Innovation, IESCI, Fundación Araucaria, the Federação das Indústrias do Estado do Paraná and SENAI, with some fifty leaders of Brazilian companies and organizations as well as French companies established locally, on the theme “Brazil - Europe: trends, risks and disruptions to 2050 — what opportunities?”, along with visits and master classes.
Among the visits (non-exhaustive): the world’s largest hydroelectric plant at Itaipu; sustainable tourism at the Iguaçu Falls, one of the 7 wonders of the modern world selected by UNESCO; the infrastructure, urban planning and futuristic architecture of Curitiba, “Brazil’s ecological capital”; Renault Brazil’s immense Ayrton Senna industrial complex; the production of care products and cosmetics drawn from Brazil’s immense plant resources; and new forms of education with SENAI, the world’s largest vocational training organization.
